Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 24, 2026

Privacy at a glance: PDFOnline4U provides document and PDF tools. Some tools can work in your browser, while server-powered tools temporarily upload a file for processing. PDFOnline4U's application is designed to remove server-processed files after the result is sent or when processing fails. We do not claim to sell the contents of documents you process.

1. Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy explains how PDFOnline4U handles information when you visit the PDFOnline4U website, use its document tools, contact us, or interact with features such as analytics or advertising when those features are enabled. The operator/contact details available for the service are provided on our Contact page.

2. Information we may process

3. How your files are processed

Browser-based tools

Where a tool is described as browser/local processing, supported processing takes place on your device and the document is not intentionally sent to PDFOnline4U's conversion server for that operation.

Server-powered tools

Some conversions and advanced tools require server processing. For these tools, the selected file is uploaded to the PDFOnline4U processing server and stored temporarily while the requested operation is performed. The current PDFOnline4U application is designed to delete temporary input/output files after the processed result is delivered or when processing returns an error. We do not use the contents of uploaded documents for advertising profiles.

Internet and hosting infrastructure can create temporary operational data outside the application's direct control. Hosting, network, security or backup providers may therefore process limited technical information according to their own retention practices. You should not upload a document unless you are authorised to process it.

4. Why we process information

Information may be processed to provide the tool you request; transmit and return processed files; maintain security and prevent abuse; diagnose errors and improve reliability; respond to support/contact requests; comply with legal obligations; and, where enabled and permitted, measure site usage and display advertising.

5. Cookies, local storage and similar technologies

PDFOnline4U may use essential storage needed for site functionality, preferences, security or features such as maintenance/admin sessions. If analytics or advertising is enabled, additional cookies or similar technologies may be used. Where applicable law requires consent, we will use a consent mechanism before using non-essential technologies.

6. Google AdSense and advertising

PDFOnline4U is designed to support Google AdSense, although advertising may not be active at all times. When Google advertising is enabled, Google and other approved advertising partners may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers to provide, measure, personalise or limit advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a user's visits to PDFOnline4U and/or other websites.

Users can manage personalised advertising through Google Ads Settings. More information about Google's handling of data on partner sites is available at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

For visitors in regions where additional consent requirements apply, including the EEA, UK and Switzerland, advertising/consent technologies should be presented through an appropriate consent-management process when required.

7. Sharing of information

We may disclose limited information to service providers that help operate PDFOnline4U, such as hosting, infrastructure, security, analytics, consent-management and advertising providers, only as appropriate for their services. We may also disclose information where required by law, legal process, or to protect the security and rights of PDFOnline4U, its users or others. If the service is reorganised or transferred, relevant business information may be transferred subject to applicable law.

8. Data retention

Server-processed document files are intended to be temporary and the PDFOnline4U application attempts to remove them after processing completes or fails. Contact messages are retained only as reasonably needed to respond and maintain appropriate records. Technical/security logs and information held by infrastructure or third-party providers may have separate retention periods. We aim not to retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it is processed or as required by law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the service, but no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Avoid uploading documents containing highly sensitive information unless necessary and you understand the risks of online processing.

10. International processing

PDFOnline4U may use hosting, advertising or technology providers that operate in different countries. As a result, information may be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards should be used for international transfers.

11. Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to request information about personal data processed about you, access or correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, request portability, or complain to an appropriate data-protection authority. Withdrawal of consent does not invalidate processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.

To make a privacy request, use the details on our Contact page. We may need to verify a request before acting on it. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and record-keeping purposes.

12. Children's privacy

PDFOnline4U is a general document utility and is not intentionally designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information in circumstances that require parental consent or deletion under applicable law, please contact us.

13. Third-party links and services

PDFOnline4U may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and PDFOnline4U does not control those independent services.

14. AI features

If PDFOnline4U introduces AI-powered document features, the interface and this policy should identify material third-party AI providers and explain how document content is transmitted, used and retained before those features are enabled. A menu entry or planned feature does not by itself mean document content is currently being sent to an AI provider.

15. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy when PDFOnline4U's features, providers, legal obligations or data practices change. The latest version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes may also be highlighted on the service where appropriate.

16. Contact us

For privacy questions, data requests or complaints, please use the current contact information on the PDFOnline4U Contact page.
